Enrichment and remediation tutoring opportunities today are: A lunch-R-Social Studies and EC; B lunch-R-Science, E-Math. Gym is open.  Media center closed.


  • When driving in the parking lot and on campus please make sure that you are following all traffic patterns for the safety of you and others.

  • If you are not a part of an athletic practice or staying for an approved after school activity you must exit the campus at 3:05.  If you are staying for any off season workouts your ride must be here to pick you up immediately at the conclusion of the workout.

  • Interested in the hospital and the medical field, be a Jr. Volunteer. Jr. Volunteer Applications are in the Guidance Office.  You must be between 15-18 years old. The Volunteer Services and Cheer Shop Scholarships application are available in the Guidance Office.  This is for seniors that are pursuing a degree in a health-related field.

  • All students that plan on going to the prom, please check prom dress code information.  You can find this in the main office, on the school website and facebook. Dress code will be enforced.  Prom in April 13th.

  • Dream Team Anita t-shirts will be on sale during lunch.  They are $10. Please come support Anita as we make her Dream Come True.

  • All Comets! Please help with our North Stanly Homeless Support Drive beginning next week through March 28. All items donated will go to the Homeless Shelter to be distributed to any individual in need of personal and/or food items.  Personal items needed are: Tooth brushes, Toothpaste, Wet Wipes, Soap, Tissues, Brush/Combs, Deodorant, Toilet paper, Socks, Band aides, Ziploc bags (homeless folks like these to keep their important things in to keep them dry.) Food items: Canned Beans/Soups, Chicken, Tuna, Spam, Vegetables, Peanut butter crackers etc.  Please bring pop top canned foods. Donation Boxes will be placed at the entrance next to the office in A building and at the student parking lot entrance of B Building. Please see Peggy Lassiter with questions.

  • Seniors, if you have been accepted to any college please let Mrs. Helms know and if you have been offered any scholarship money, even if you are not going to that school, please let Mrs. Helms know the amount.  This also includes enlisting into the military as well.


  • Going to Major in Accounting in Community College or 4-year University - Come to Guidance, I have a scholarship application for you!

  • Applications for the First Presbyterian Church Scholarships are available from Mrs. Helms.  Please stop by the Student Services Center to pick one up.


  • There will be an FFA meeting today after school in Mr. Blake's room.

  • The North Stanly Talent show will be held April 4th at 7:00.  Auditions will be March 20th and 21st and March 25th- 28th. See Mrs. Huffman in Rm. 5 to sign up. Admission will be $3.00,and all proceeds will go to help support Anita’s Dream Team!


  • Women’s Soccer will  host Graystone at 6:00.

  • Men’s Tennis will host Albemarle at 4:30.

  • Baseball will travel to Pfeiffer to take on Graystone at 7:30.
